Headlight efficiency - pre-FL vs FL

Hello,

All being well, I'll be picking up my '59 plate FL CR vRS this weekend & just wondered whether anyone had noticed any improvement in headlight performance (non-Xenon) from the pre-FL model to the facelifted item?

I only ask as I have uprated bulbs in my current car - a 2006 vRS - and whilst I'm going to swap them out to put in the new one anyway, I was curious as to whether the new reflector design made much of a difference to the amount of light they throw out generally?

From what I can see, the projector for the dipped beam is the same size as the original one so I'd imagine it doesn't really make much, if any, difference but I'm just curious..
