Replacing accelerator / throttle pedal

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I'm just wanting to know if replacing the throttle / accelerator pedal on a 2010 Superb is just a case of remove the old pedal and fit the new pedal or if you then need to use VCDS to then setup the new pedal with the ECU?

I thought it was just going to be a simple replace job but then I saw mention of ECU setup after fitting a new pedal on a website so now I'm unsure.

Anyone got any idea or done it themselves etc.....

I've fitted a new stainless accelerator pedal to my Yeti and did not need VCDS, would imagine Superb would be the same.

It should be fine.  I've replaced Fabia pedals in the past and used VCDS to verify the pedal operation, but have never needed to do any adaptations or coding.

Cheers guys..... I'm wanting to do the same Kenny... The metal vRS pedals rather than the standard black pedals.

Did you get the removal tool too Kenny or just use screwdrivers?

I just used screwdrivers a bit better than the ham fisted operator in this video, but it gives you the idea of what to do.
