wiper blades

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the Mk. 2 Octavia aero wiper blades are the same as for the Mk. 3?

I've got an unused Valeo set for my Mk. 2 and wondered if they will be suitable for my Mk. 3 when it arrives.

My III look very different to my II. Cold, wet and dark now so I'm not going outside!  I've have a proper look tomorrow.

Unfortunately they are totally different.

I've got a new set for an Octy2 which will eventually have to be consigned to the bin.

Totally different. The II were easy to change too. The III looks really odd.

Minimoke I'm sure someone will take those MKII off you rather than them going to landfill.

I would have thought so too. But I offered them plus cosmetically damaged alloy wheel that could be used as a spare plus other bits and pieces for £5 for the lot in the Classified section without any response.

I had to change mine the other day. Really easy, just a push button and they slide off.

Exposing the wipers at all on the other hand.

Plus the fact that you can't buy Mk III wiper blades anywhere... very odd as car has been out more than a year now!

Haha I remember being baffled by my Passat for a while which also had wipers that tucked half under the bonnet

Its in the manual somewhere, a snow setting which stops them fully upright for lifting off the screen when parked in bloody cold places overnight.

Yup just pull the wiper stalk after turning the ignition off and they swipe and stay up. Useful for frost, snow, washing the car and obviously changing the blades

Yeah I was naughty. Just turned the ignition off when they were exposed.

The main amusement I had was halfords being more expensive than the dealer. They didn't even have the stock, dealer offered to fit for free as well.

In the Mk. 2 they call that the service position - glad it works like that for Mk. 3
