Great news for those who dont have SKY Ch447 or cant get the Freeview Ch240 version.

 

MOTORS TV is moving to Freeview 71 as of tomorrow Oct 9th, and also on Youview.

 

Free WEC, US sports cars, NASCAR Nationwide, Motocross, Rallying etc.

Excellent - been trying to get at that through Freeview and Roku for some time but not been wanting to pay for it!

Retuned my TV, but still nothing on ch71 :(.

According to their website its channel 240 on Freeview?

Channel 240 just comes up with a banner saying 'Data Channel'.     :(

I've done a little digging and I have found that you can only receive it if you have a set top box that is Freeview HD or Freeview +HD compatible.

 

Apparently the channel is a MHEG channel which is basically a stream from the internet.....

 

If you have a Youview box (like me) or a non Freeview HD box, you will not be able to view the channel. It appears in the guide, but not be able to view it.

Morse is so much more difficult as a visual medium!  I used to read audio morse up to 22 words a minute.

Skomaz - the whole point of Motors moving to Ch71 is so you don't have to make any effort to get it.  Get it?

Yep - re-tuned mine about midday..... nothing on Ch71.

I guess we just need to keep checking,

 

I'm sure launching a new channel isn't as simple as just flicking a switch... maybe they have run into some difficulties.

Me too - BATHURST 1000 this weekend.  How will I fit it in between all the Free Moto Gp and Formula 1 this week on Acestream

BTCC, F1, Moto GP and Bathurst all over the same weekend......

 

I don't think I am going to leave the house until Monday!
