greenline spare wheel

Featured Replies

Had a test drive today ( 1.6 diesel) and took a brochure home to mull over, It seems you can't have a spare wheel with a Greenline model. Don't they get unrepairable punctures then like I suffered recently? I loved the car but the lack of spare is a deal breaker for me.

You could ask them to supply at no cost to clinch the deal.

I LOVE my Yeti, 20,000 miles in 14 months tells its own story-get one!

They can supply one, you just can't order it with the car as the factory can't put a spare wheel in a Greenline.

It comes seperately and the dealer fits it.

Simples. :)

So no problem with the "deal breaker".

A Greenline can not be taxed from new with a spare wheel because the quoted emission figures for the tax band would be exceeded, due to the extra weight.

To keep in the lower tax band you would have to install one as an after sales accessory,

My first Yeti was already built without a spare, I just asked what the best price they could do the complete kit for and got 20% off.

RickT ( or anyone ), how do you get your car PIC and coloured Yeti details under your post 'break' line?

Click on your name at the top of the page, go to settings then edit signature. You can add details there.

Mick,

not sure if you have noticed but also you cannot get a heated front screen. This was finally put me towards the 2L instead of the 1.6L as you can aleays get a spare wheel. Also you really do need to be doing long runs to get the sort of mpg claimed. My 2L is showing 47mpg on the maxidot over 600 miles on short runs, with one return trip of 200 miles, Essex to Brighton in heavy traffic. On long traffic free runs it records high 50's breaking into low 60's if I keep to 60/65mph. Car only has 3,000 on the clock so I suspect fuel consumption will get better.

Thanks awfabia,  You are the first to comment on my colourful signature, the text is pretty straight forward but it took me ages to do the photo.

I'm not good with PC's so can't say how I did it, I get there eventually.

My photo used to open up to full size when you clicked on it but for some reason it doesn't anymore.

Just added a link next to the picture that works now
