2002 L&K Xenons

Featured Replies

Noticed recently that my 2002 L&K has a bit of a squint. It has the older gas discharge dipped lamps with separate full beams.

I understand that the left is normally the master and the right the slave? Controlled by front/rear load sensors.

Anyway the right moves up and down to settle when ignition is turned on but the left seems to stay still and remain in the lowest position. So the right ends up higher (perhaps too high but I want them to both work before entering learning mode etc etc.)

Because the left isnt moving i'm asusming it's just the motor not the communication between them?

Quite often the motor or gearing can fail, certainly this is the case in the non xenon based headlight assemblies, so it might be worth checking that is voltage is applied directly to the motor that you get movement.
