HELP. Auto locking and auto wipers

Featured Replies

I have a 2013 Octavia VRS and my auto locking (locks the car when you pull away) and the auto wipers (rain sensing ) have stopped working. The car has spent all day today in my local Skoda dealer and they agree they do not work but cannot fix the problems because there is no fault codes!!!

I am not particularly happy and wondered if anyone else had experienced these problems. thanks

Have you checked the settings in infotainment?

And probably time to get a new dealer ;-)

Yep all switched on. They admit there is a fault but can't fix it!

Did they recode the car when it was serviced? Have you tried a factory reset followed by re-enabling them?

What happens if you open the car with your other key?

Also, has anyone connected to it with VCDS and done any coding?

You could also try a forced reboot of the Infotainment - hold in the power button for about 10 secs until it reboots.

Tried a different key and the forced re boot and no change. I have emailed Skoda UK and will see what they say. Thanks

Has anyone been playing with the coding?

I know it sounds daft, but are all your doors, bonnet and boot shut correctly?

This thread talks about wiggling the mirror where the rain sensor is. Have you ever had a windscreen replaced?

My other thought is that these cars do odd things if the battery is low.
