Retro fit cruise control

Featured Replies

I've got the kit for installing cruise control to my I.9 sdi and have got the new stalk installed but just needing help with the locations of the wires, Ive managed to get the plug in the foot well but a bit confused about the rest, also the part about the fuse confuses me, is there a complete guide anywhere out there or can anyone help? much appreciated, cheers

Have you checked the ecu is compatible with cruise control? I don't think the 1.9 SDI is.

its got to be spliced in to the ecu

I went through the grommet in the passengers footwell when i done mine (removed the glove box).  Then went straight up into the number '1' pin (i think it was the number 1 pin on the edu loom, think it was a white wire).  Solderd and heat shrinker it onto the existing wire.

Have a look at this guide

Or if that link doesn't work try clicking the link in the thread i made about retrofitting and the problems i had.  Its the 1st link in the thread.

**edit**

Thats strange none of those links worked and i literally just checked them to make sure they worked before i posted them, now they don't work.  Have a read anyway to see if you pick up any tips.

Failing that i dare say Tech1e will be along soon.  Good luck.
