VRS Fabia comments from Skoda soon

Featured Replies

So despite all the bull****e about VRS dissapearing at last Skoda have hinted something is lurking.

On a recent Skoda UK facebook post there response to a question on Fabia VRS was " We get what you're saying Ben, hoping to have more to share on the matter in coming months."

Or the other one is "get off our back, we won't make one but will make you think we are but it will only end up with a choice of two engines, keep buying the mk2 VRS as we can't be asked to make a VRS due to the lack of market for one

its going to happen, worst case it means i have to buy a SEAT / VW

Well if one is made let's hope it looks aggressive!

We hear you, Anthony. Let's see what happens. We recognise the huge demand for another vRS based on the mountains of comments we can see from you guys.

Translated too,

We've read your comments a few Brits want them so I'll make it sound like we will think about it when in actual fact we want to keep selling you the MK2 VRS :)

Well, I hope they do, with the right engine it would be a fine car....especially if they did a Combi.

Never ever. We tried out 1.4 tsi 132 - 136 kW turbochargers on the buying public. 1/3rd are faulty. We revised the engine and sold them for 2 more years. Sorry to those that paid good money for the poorly built one's and lost money. We are the Volkswagen group and we. Often take the pith.

Fingers crossed - even if it was the 140tsi engine, dropped chassis and combi body - that would do for me.

Quite likely.

A 1.6 or 1.8 petrol manual would be great.  Once you sorted the suspension and brakes. :D

A 1.6 or 1.8 would be lovely.

I think VW have learnt their lesson allowing Skoda and Seat to produce hot hatches with the same running gear and engine as their Polo GTI.

They aren't fooling anyone to expect people to pay a good chunk more for 90% the same car with a different badge, so I suspect if there was to be a MkIII VRS, it will be less powerful and sophisticated as the new Polo GTI

To be honest I don't need golf gti performance and having driven a fast golf I don't trust myself to drive one. But I would be very content with a warm fabia combi in meteor grey - I would be prepared to part with a lot of cash for that as it would suit all my needs in a car. Cars are getting too big and I live in London. Would be happy with a decent petrol 1.4 provided it had good acceleration and looked hot ie nice alloys and tinted windows.

Don't let the Skoda CEO read that lol!

We want a hot one!!

Just ask the VW Up forums about the fabled GT model and they never ending will they wont they frustrations - my money is that it won't happen.

Ok if skoda CEO reading this I would pay lots for a hot one too! Problem with current estate is (apart from engine issues) it looks a bit crap (no offence to current owners). New one is ace and could sell very well! I'm in!

Come on Skoda get a mk3 Fabia vRS made!!!!

So, we get the looks but not the go, hmm.....

The mk3 fabia need a vRS It looks so good
