turbo swap

Featured Replies

I've been offered a gt1749va  for a good price, obviously this will be quite different to the turbo fitted to my pd100.
Is this a straight forward swap? Im sure i remember reading about some pipework will need changing (intake/outlet??)

Straight on, no pipe work change needed

Thats good news

i think it may be on the golf platform that needs a different compressor outle pipe.

Golfs need "clocking" no change of parts. Just undo a ring of 6/8 bolts. Rotate x degrees anf tighten. Will be obvious when you remove old turbo. Usr that to judge how much to turn

I fitted a vnt17 to my pd100 where there was a vnt15 with no need to change pipe work.

Pd100, pd130 and pd150 are all identical I believe.
