Octavia lll vRS COLOUR vs RESALE

Featured Replies

Hi,

Looking to purchase a new / nearly new O3 vRS TSi and having seen the lead times for delivery on new cars, I am now contemplating nearly new. If I was buying new I would be ordering the Metal Grey but would consider red to jump the queue.

My question is will red command a lower price widen I come to sell? Are they popular - I haven't seen one in the flesh on the road, although I've seen plenty of the other colours?

Opinions welcome, thanks

There isn't a more emotive topic than a cars colour.

Is the red solid and is it a no-cost paint colour? Is so then this will likely have a very small effect on future values.

Personally I'm not a fan of red and would look past a red used car. The main reason for this is that is generally associated with basic cars.

However, white used to be the same and now look how popular it is!

There are lots of fans of red cars out there so I wouldn't worry. As long as you like the colour that's the main thing.

Agree, it is a tricky one. Some cars just lend themselves to red such as Alfas and Ferraris, whereas other like Porsche and Mercedes just don't look right.

Interesting comment about base models though - hadn't thought of that. The colour in question is Corrida Red which is a no cost colour.

Like the Racing Blue but my teenage girls are resistant, saying it looks like a Suburu!

Personally I like the The Red, and if i could have found a stock car in Red I would have had that instead of Metal Grey.

Race Blue always will be the high impact colour for the vRS, and rightly so, looks awesome!

I have a corrida red octy vRS and I love the colour it's one of the best colours ŠKODA do it looks sweet when it's clean and it looks good when it's dirty.

Most vRS's will be race blue and rallye green and metal grey are up and coming colours for the vRS but I go for the red all the time
