But it's a round switch!!!  My OCD wouldn't allow that!

I visided a Skoda dealer - they came up with this one. Round. It works, and that's what matter right? :-)

Have you tried your main lighting switch, does it pull out?

I'm not sure if it's able to, but not wired up. If not then wouldn't it have been possible to replace it with one like mine which is a also for aux lights (fog lights front) saves all that work on the dash.

The round switch looks out of place.

Yes, it looks out of place. I guess I have to buy a new head light switch for those with fog lights in front, and not only on the rear. My switch can't be pulled out like you do on cars with fog lights on the front. Replacing the frames I have modified should be easy and not that expensive.

The airbag fault is not going to go away on its own, the fault has to be cleared by someone with VCDS or a dealer. Chances are you caused the fault turning on the ignition with the car still in pieces and that no fault is currently present. Visit your dealer or a friend with VCDS and scan/erase the airbag ECU and the light will go out.
