Tough Love - Romanian Style

They need to installed in the uk.

Excellent idea. I've seen some of the network rail footage on youtube of level crossings and the near misses involved.

Excellent.

The consequences of driving irresponsibly become quite clear (and expensive).

How to apply similar principles to speeding in restricted areas...?

Fantastic! I bet there are quite a few people with broken wrists and whip lash.

Too bloody right. It serves the idiots right.

I agree entirely. Stupidity should never be rewarded with compensation.

Far more effective than red light cameras. As to the injuries, they are entirely avoidable and self inflicted. If some people cannot understand what a red light means, an airbag in the face might teach them.

They have been using these in Russia for years.

Those Manchester ones are crying out for a dose of Thermite! Not quite the same thing as the level crossing stuff at all. Just anti-motorist bolox!

Why is it?

In the Manchester case private vehicles are banned from that area. There are enough notices stating that, so if people choose to ignore them and try to break the law, tough; they get what they deserve.

these are needed on motorway slip roads - to stop (old) and (stupid) people ending up going down the wrong direction...

I dont understand why it cant be done... well apart from the obvious costs involved..
