Hello all,

300 miles in to ownership and i have a strange issue!

My subwoofer setting has disappeared from the sound settings menu.

Also, the canton settings tab occasionally blanks out so I cannot select it, but the sound quality hasnt really changed.

Has anyone else had this issue or am I just going mad?

I too have Canton but it's worked perfectly for more than 9 months.

This issue has only started on the journey home today, that and the steering doesn't appear to be fully centred but that seems to be fairly common having a search about.

It was working absolutely fine. The sound quality is still great but the settings are available and then blank out. The sub settings have just dossapeared. Need to check it's actually working I suppose.

Could be a software glitch?

I think the canton stuff is only usable with certain sound sources, can't think which at the top of my head but i know my options aren't there sometimes either.

Took the car to the dealers for them to have a look yesterday, they were really helpful.

 

Car plugged in and according to the dealers the latest "software" was downloaded and re-loaded for the system. Whatever they did has caused it all to re appear and works absolutely fine again.

In the spring of this year I had this issue several times. On wet and cold days the sub and canton settings disappeared. Turning car off and waiting a few minutes always repaired the thing, tho simple quick turn off and on didn't. The dealer couldn't find anything so just upgraded the software. That maybe have helped, as I haven't had the issue for a few months. As it's autumn now and the weather getting wet I occasionly check if it works properly.

Also IMHO the sound quality does change when this fault happens - it gets more flat and less bassy.

This happened to me tonight and a couple of restarts didn't fix it.

 

I actually think it has disappeared before, when I picked the car up I couldn't find sub settings for love nor money, then the next day I spotted them easily, so easily I suspect they weren't there previously.

 

If it's not a one-off I shall be logging with SUK...

Try resetting the infotainment by holding the volume control in until it reboots

After being powered off for an hour it reappeared. I'll be monitoring it!

Lots of updates available for Bolero at the dealer. Mine has been done twice.

I've just had the same thing happen today. 'Glad' I'm not the only one but very strange issue. Hoping they come back soon!

Just found this. I could have sworn I had seen a subwoofer setting on my Amundsen. I have the Canton equalizer/ sound setting but now can't find the subwoofer setting for love nor money. Is this something I am going to have to take up with the dealer?

Just do a hard reboot by holding in the volume control for about 10 seconds, it should come back under the Sound settings, next to the bottom above the Canton slider

same thing. had the car for two days. it was there when i picked up the car at the dealer.

will,try to reboot the infotaiment and see if it will sort it out.

if it is software that needs to fix it permanently i have a 4.5 hours  drive to the dealer. Guess it will have to wait for more importen stuff to brake.

Happens to me too - except rebooting the infotainment while driving makes no difference. Seems to reappear by the next journey.

 

Really annoying when you want to turn the Sub down from Max and can't. I can't tell a sound difference personally.

What's the most recent software verion for the Bolero? Haven't noticed this myself but will keep an eye out for it

Any chance you guys have used vcds? I have found some options missing on my Amundsen after some vcds coding which had nothing to do with the settings that are missing.

For instance after setting up some things I no longer have the drive green option anymore...

Same here. Today Subwoofer option disappeared from my MY16 Bolero. Car 2 days old. Googled little and found this bolero reset guide. Before resetting, I checked one last time and now there was Subwoofer option. Weird. Definetly needs a new firmware...

The MIB2 units appear to have a few bugs quirks!
