dog tethering in estate

Featured Replies

I have recently got a 64 plate Superb estate with a dog guard for our standard Jack Russell to travel in the boot. I have been looking for a tether to attach to his harness whilst travelling (we have a crate, but don't won't to keep using this for shorter journeys) and have come across this to attach to the ether points in on the rear seats -

Has anyone else used this (or something similar) to transport dogs? And if so, are they any good?

I know I probably shouldn't but we just put our pup in the boot (combi) for the short slow tip to the park. The mesh divider is always up between the boot and the cabin so I figure its safe enough?

Skoda NZ are selling these dog tethering belts, if you like muddy footprints and scratches on your leather seats.....

your precious pouch is better in the cage even for short journeys, they feel safer and therefore more relaxed, even for the shortest journey we put ours in the cage.

We have a cover over the back seat which clips behind the headrests and then a blanket on top of that. Our dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) is then secured using a harness that attaches to the seatbelt buckle.

He's as happy as larry unless I slow down too much then he whines until I speed up again  :notme:
