AUX Issues with Stream MP3

Featured Replies

I'm at a bit of a loss.
I've recently picked up a 58 plate MK2 Pre-FL vRS with the Stream MP3 HU fitted.

It has an AUX in jack mounted in the centre console.

Now the issue is that I can't get it to work at all. I have activated it within the HU settings, pressed the CD button until it displays 'AUX IN' on the HU display used a known to be working AUX cable and all I get through the speakers is a buzzing noise.

No music at all with a variety of different deceives.

I have searched the forum lots but can't find any answers or questions that relate to this at all.

Any one offer any suggestions?

The socket may have come unplugged.

I think that is my next port of call. I suspect a grounding issue or the plug sneaking out but wanted to check I wasn't being an idiot before I pulled the HU out!

Pull the vents out of the back of the jumbo box and look at the connector before pulling the HU out.

You were bang on!

Pulled the rear of the console out and the plug some how had simply come un-clipped.
All hooked back up and it works perfectly again!

That's the BRISKODA benefit! Usually someone's done it/had the problem before.
