Using my Superb as a Wedding Car.

Featured Replies

SWMBO has suggested that we save a few pennies & use my Superb, (+ a co-opted driver!) for next years nuptials.

Probably a good wheeze, it's quite tidy & has plenty of room in the back for us  + any photography, but I'm wondering how to decorate it.

We are OK with the traditional windscreen to bonnet ribbons, (with some v. useful how to tie them from a you-tube video), but no too sure what else could / should be done to the car.

Not keen on tin-cans, or "just married" stickers, but would welcome any useful advice, especially from any owner-drivers who use Superbs for wedding work.

TIA, David C.

I'd take it to Gleam Machine based on your location a day or two before the big day for a start.

About the ribbons, carefull with those. If you have them rubbing a pillar or the bonnet (or even worse, slapping at highway speeds) they will remove the paint faster then you can say "I do"

I'd consider some very short white ribbons around the door handles, but that's about it...

Congrats on the marrying thing though!

I put wedding ribbons on mine once for a mates wedding - they were fixed through the car badge (a VW at the time) and up to the top of the pillars. During the day they rubbed and put some tiny scratches where they had been so be careful.

What about some flowers on the parcel shelf?

Good idea!  Then you can lend it to a funeral director while you are away on honeymoon!!  :sun:

Only joking.

Used mine for my little sis's wedding earlier in the year. Also used my previous car (BMW) for our own wedding. Was good fun - had read about the scratches from the ribbons but wasn't a problem for me. We didn't have to drive too far though.
