Nice job chap. Whatever happened to your old alloys? They are exactly what I am after for my little vRS.

I sold the standard ones about this time last year mate and replaced them with the ones I've got on now :)

Looks great Tom.

Have you still not fitted your bucket seats?

Finally Tom, love this car. Now I don't have to stalk you on Instagram to find you're latest updates ;)

I haven't got them in yet mate no, just gunna wait till new year I think as it's a waste of money buying subframes now because as soon as it gets cold my front heated seats will be going straight back in

I Should have done it a long time ago Dan I'm just too lazy haha

I keep looking at instagram to see if the seats are in !!

Looking good

Got the turbo fitted at the weekend and it's pulling really well, still getting a bit of blue smoke on light throttle but im putting that down to oil left in the exhaust (for now lol). Had the intercooler pipes off today to check if there's any oil in them and there as clean as a whistle, silicone joints had oil in where there was a gap from small to large steps so cleaned them out. Removed the crash bar as well and drill some circular holes in the bumper behind the number plate Plynth for when I on track. Going in for a mild map tomorrow so it's running perfect ready for croft on Friday, will get a full fat map once I've got a clutch in :) had a little trip up hartside pass with my mate in his 172 tonight as well which was good fun ;)

Well it's been in for mapping this morning. Can't believe how well the thing pulls now !! John complimented the hybrid build saying how impressed he was with it and he's never seen one set up as good before which is a huge bonus :P hasn't pushed it to hard as the clutch hasn't got long left but he was suprised that it isn't slipping on this map but it was slipping on my old map with less boost and less power, wierd ! All smiles today thow :D haha

Where did you get your mapping done? Anywhere local? What figures did you get with the mild map on your hybrid?

big fish tuning in stokesley mate about 35 minutes from darlington. Didn't put it on the rolling road as there's no point until it's got a full power map on it, I'd imagine it won't be far off 200 thow

Fitted the PD150 head bolts tonight, didn't do it myself as I was at The courteeners gig :P but I asked my mate doing it to measure them side by side the old and the new and he said the old were about 2mm bigger than the new ARL bolts, I expected a bit of stretch but 2mm is quite a difference so hoping this cures my white smoke problem.

Do you know how hard they are torqued up? :D  Up to I think 60Nm then two quarter turns.  Getting that last 90 degrees needs a fairly hefty brteaker bar for my mate to achieve.

Pft 60Nm is nothing haha, used to torque third motion shaft and crownwheek pinion nuts up in classic mini gearboxes which were 150 lbs ft (203Nm). They were a right buggar to do, even worse to undo them.....

Cars looking good pal, nice to see a build thread on here after following you on instagram haha

Not much going in with this now as I'm saving up for another toy ( S1 106 Rallye 16v)

Got a backbox put in today and some new tips as it's starting to drive me mad having a straight through exhaust on my commute every day haha. Loads quieter now but still sounds decent on boost, had a go at polishing my headlights as well which worked a treat !
