TPMS via maxidot?

Featured Replies

I just came across this on a Finnish forum:

I don't speak Finnish and google translate didn't really help but it seems to suggest its on an Octavia 2 FL...  Is this correct, I thought it was via a dash board button...?

Thanks

Dave

I thought it was dash push button as well.

It could be, but they show a colour Maxidot display though.

I'd looked at that kit but dismissed it because of this assuming it was only compatible with newer (possibly Mk3) cars despite what it says.

I thought Eddie had done something similar to his car.

If not, then I'm sure he'd know how to do it and what is required.

It is on my car (well 50%) of it is, tested ok

As soon as my front tyres are worn out (not long now) the valves will be fitted

good thing is you can have both types

Should be noted that there are 3 different types

Basic (switch & ABS pump) as on VRS

Basic + same as the above but doesn't have a switch. reset through maxidot

High 4x Sensors and control module

Am I right in thinking this can just be enabled and no extra hardware is needed?

Thanks

Thanks for the info, fair enough I'll continue with my original plan and install the dash button.

Many thanks

If you copy and paste the above link it shows you how to code the basic tpms with no switch providing you have the correct ABS pump/system. I've done mine and it works fine

Thanks for the link,  I did think about activating but not installing the switch but decided I didn't want to have to cart the laptop around on the off chance it needed resetting, also I don't like empty switch blanks :D just need to find the last 2 switches for the dash...!

Many thanks

Really like the look of this as I'm a stickler for tyre pressures. I have the the button system, apart from VCDS what parts do I need to use the full system on maxidot ?

To fit this

4x Valve Sensors

1x Module

1x wiring loom

and you must have Maxidot

Thanks Eddie. Any chance of some part numbers please and yes I have maxidot and just about to get my wheels sorted so I suppose its a good time to do it by the sounds of it.

Module Part Number is 3AA 907 273D

valves i will find out

That shows as a complete kit. Now have to try a source it in the uk !

Just realised what the first site I looked at had done, they had packaged it with the valves ( 3AA 907 275B ).

Well don't think I can get it any cheaper just sourcing the parts individualy, so looks like £300 and some hard work.
