Do it!

its in my local dealer , I've seen it..... colour looks great in the flesh.... it would be a bargin (and part of the offer is "we'll let you decide how much your trade in is worth, as these cars have to go") so that suggests I could get a decent price for my car ..

BUT : my problems are as follows

1) dunlop tyres and they are useless, I'd want my RSR's on.

2) I'd want my suspension on, anti-roll bar included!

3) I'd want my brakes... ATE blue fluid, and yellowstuff pads....

4) I'd want my leather interior, every time I go in a vRS now  I hate the seats! lol....

wonder if they would sort all that our for me?! lol... I think I'm already past the point where my car is a completely different animal to a standard car.... :( so HAS to be kept as the mods increse!

a bargin for someone though..... If It doesn't sell, I may ask them If they will do all the above points! lol....

You're too late I've just bought it lol! ;-)

Seriously tho I'd be after that if I were you. That's a huge discount. Even better if you can indeed pull THEIR pants down with a ridiculous trade-in offer! Lol

like I said though, my car is so different now, I would at least want all my mods transfered! dread to think what that would cost!

That's the reason I've not chopped mine in for an end of line super deal car. I've spent too much on adding bits to it that I would jump into the lovely brand new one and just moan about how wallowy it is.

They are not Devils obviously,

but i will use the saying  anyway,  sometimes it is 'Better the Devil you know'.

If the one you have is doing what you want and is a keeper, why replace.

Well. Unless the change is not costing that much extra,

& you can start your 'keeper' all over again with a newer one.

indeed, thats it, I'm so happy with my current car, I dont beleive taking 30k of the miles is worth the effort.

I intend to run mine to 100k, then see whats out there, even then I may get rid of the eunos roadster, and keep it (the vRS) as a track car :)

True that. Would be abit of a nightmare if the new car started causing problems, not that that is too likely but you never know.

And sods law would dictate that the day you picked it up Skoda would announce a u-turn and reveal the all new mk3 Fabia vRS lol!

With how they are pricing the All New Fabia any Warm or Hot model is hardly going to be the bargain the MK2's have been,

and are going to be now, for ones in Stock with Skoda UK or at Dealers.

& there is no guarantee that the Euro 6 engines ones would be any better or actually faster,

maybe the only difference would be a Manual Gearbox which is of no interest to me.

Bargains to be had maybe down the line if the Polo GTI 2015 is a sales flop, and they do the usual of Registering Demonstrators

at VW Dealers and then punting them as used, because nobody flocks in to showrooms to order new builds.

but sadly no Estate versions of them.

Dont suppose that offer extends to used cars does it Sharky as cant get credit for new. If so I know where im off for a drive tomorrow! Surely mines gotta be worth 6.5ish/7 trade in.

Got a link to it? Does it have any options? Mmmmmmm wonder what my mk1 would be worth as a trade in

is that the battle ship grey one ive seen? dont do it, it looks like a car driven around with only a primer on it :P

each to their own i guess lol, but seriously just do what makes you happy, as my kids now say OLLI

The primer look is 'Meteor Grey'.

Ask for Much Cheapness with them, and then you can get a Wrap to what suits you.

LOL,

4 years on and they still advertise them as having 'Front Fog lamps'.

Obviously, they say,

might not have all this stuff on the car.... (paraphrase)

The salesman at Parks (the one who sold me my car three years ago) phoned me up to see if I was interested in trading mine in for a 2012 model that had just come in - I'm of the same opinion as you and stuck with the tried and tested! Besides, the 2012 had done 16,000 more miles than mine, had a ghastly white roof / white wheels combo and didn't have the goodies mine has (Climatronic, Bluetooth, parking sensors and cruise).

They are just desperate to sell cars (turn them over),

and prove they are sales people and not just hang around people.

I agree. Still don't envy them their job - it must be a tough gig.

Very hard.

Made even more when you do not even try to know every detail of what you are selling.

Those that have an interest in cars can get on a lot better if they are also good at sales.

It is amazing how many are just Interested in Sales and not even good or knowledgeable on that.

But then you always have those working beside you that try to get your customers and assist you in failing in your sales attempts.

It is a pitty they can not work together,

and try to make a good business, and profits and treat all customers honestly.

I saw that one when I was in Parks this week, race blue with white roof and white alloys. Doesn't look as bad in the flesh, screen price just under £9k. Noticed they also have demonstrator estate vrs sitting, black. Can't remember price but somewhere around £14k I think.

That's the blue one, the estate they have on the website isn't the demonstrator one I mentioned.

Sorry, meant to say I concur with George re the devil you know, when you have a good one of these I would be tempted to keep it rather than risk the unknown.

That's the one, the white roof and wheels are just too loud for my tastes.

technically it is used..... they had it at the full price for 6 months in the showroom, and needless to say it never sold, they registered it in the garage name to sell, then discounted... I think it had about 14 miles on it when I saw it in the carpark....

for anyone interested (and if you buy it say "David Turner" sent you and I want some compensation! pmsl) its at border cars lillyhall. google 'em ;) (near Workington, west coast Cumbria)

It's not listed on their website. I'm glad there so far from me as I might have done something silly and swmbo would probably kill me lol
