Car outside overnight, it rained, dry this morning although my (currently) well waxed car still had a few beads of water on the roof, otherwise car was dry all over. Got in and happened to lower the drivers window to speak to someone and had a fair sized dribble of water splash in from the top of the window, soaking the mirror adjustment joystick and door handle. I guess water had been held by capillary action between widow and seal. Just wondered if this happens often? If trapped water then freezes does it damage seals/stick windows?  My car is normally garaged so it's not usually a problem for me.

Oh yeah often, don't turn left with drivers window open till May.

Come to think of it, both the Mk1 & 2 had the same issue however, my little girl likes that the side windows have a good curve and you can look straight up at the sky, don't try this whilst driving though.

Happens in the mk2 fabia too. Drips right onto the electric window switch. ...

If I left snow around the opening on mk2, it would kindly dump this on my seat on opening also. A lot of cars have these issues. Ever since they did away with gutters to fasten the roof rack to, oh and it also took the rain away from the Seats.

+1 on this... no water issues with these fitted, parked or when doing 110-120kmh on the French motorways in the pi&&ing rain!

Thanks all. I did it again tonight, got in a still damp cwar, opened the passenger window to say bye bye to someone and a flood of water came in. This could be annoying.... But probably not enough to make me for l fit wind deflectors.... The car looks too much like a taxi as it is
