It's not worth skimping on safety when this is your life as I'm realising whilst looking for some motorbike helmet and leathers.

I perhaps don't know enough about this class of sport, but I would be considering taking a sledge hammer to whatever his daily driver is for that one! Absolutely no skill involved what so ever.

Been on track days at Cadwell Park where absolute scum have run other bikes off the track, I would love CCTV footage of the paddock tbh.........

What a truely annoying presentation. If it was because it had been posted on here I would have turning it off after him speaking for 10 seconds. Hope something happened to the Porsche driver though. Judging by him swaying all over the track each time someone tried to pass him I think I would have tried to fishtail him off as soon as he swerved towards me.

The presentation is utter ****, it was just the driving that I bothered to be interested in.

Just remember the best is not always the most expensive.

A £150 helmet that fits properly is much safer than a £500 helmet that dosnt fit properly.

Ha, multiple meanings there! Sort of exclusive ones as well. I'm sure there's a joke about being careful to pull out at the right time.... :)

That was terrible.

But he knew the game that porsche driver was playing from previous experiences of trying to pass, so why did he carry trying to get past?

Also Jack, make sure you get the leathers and helmet professionally checked for fitting mate.

I went with SWMBO to get a leather jacket the other weekend (her christmas present to me ;)). I've only had textiles before so got a guy who worked there to check the sizing for me. I was really surprised at how tight fitting he suggested (i was looking at 2 sizes above) until he told me to sit on the er6 they had on display.

It was tight and cramped standing up, but as soon as i got onto a bike and into the riding position, it was perfectly comfy. He also told me that they stretch 10-15% when worn in properly.

Helmets also get bigger. Cheap ones more so as its one shell and different sized padding to make up the different sizes, where as more expensive ones use different sized shells.

Will do mate, oddly enough SWMBO is pushing me on to get on and apply for the provisional I think she wants to be a regular passenger.

Provisional? You dont need a provisional if youve got a car licence do you?

Not got a clue I've not checked

I think your car licence acts as a provisional for a bike.

Youll need a CBT though then you can ride up to a 125cc
