Where to buy interior trim

Featured Replies

Looking to replace the tired looking interior handles on my superb. I have found the part numbers but need advice on where best to get them. Are there any places you could recommend and anyone got an idea on prices

Thanks

Pete

part numbers as below

3B2867172E 4D5 – window switch cover ivory

3B0867175 4D5 – clip for above

3U0867179 4D5 – left front handle

3U0867197 4D5 – left front insert

3U5867179 4D5 – left rear handle

3U5867197 4D5 left rear cover

3U5867180 4D5 right rear handle

3U5867198 4D5 right rear insert

If it's any consolation, mine are the same and look tired too, where the matt effect has worn off. I think it's dealer only parts.

My ivory is in the same state. The effect on the door handles I completely scrapped off with a credit cred and looks better without than with "some" left on.

The silver grey film around the door  handles that has bubbled bugs me more.

TPS or Skoda dealer.  There is someone selling some parts on eBay, but last time I checked they were more expensive than TPS.  Window switch cover was a little over £20, left front insert around £8 last time I got one.  I reckon you'll be looking at around £100 for that lot.  You'll have to take the front passenger, rear passenger and rear drivers door cards off to change the handles, so you probably want to buy some of the door trim clips too,as inevitably some will break.

Replaced my driver side units very recently. Got them from Ridgeway Skoda in Reading and they fitted them for a tenner. Parts were around £20. They do have to be specially ordered.

thanks for the replies only two ive tried at the minute are my local dealer looking at £126.94 but they cant give me a delivery date as on back order or skodaparts.com looking at £100 per handle

Whats TPS not heard of them, will give then a try but may also try the credit card trick first

Most of them are happy to sell to the public as a cash sale.  Prices are usually a bit less than dealership (10-15%) and they might do you a bit of a deal if you ask and they like you.

Skodaparts are just a dealership with a website - I'm surprised they wanted that much.  Perhaps they were quoting a whole doorcard?!

I remember some people soaking the plastics in warm water, scraping off the finish and then using furniture polish.  Something I might try, if I can ever muster the enthusiasm  :dull:

I rubbed off all the "matt finish" with my fingers. It may took me 2 hours, but now they look just as good as new ones. Those handles are pretty expensive and they can still wear off again after a few years...

After the surface was scrapped off I applied some "plastic care lotion" which made them look even better.
