Autobrite Detail Xmas Sale

The VAT is itemised Chris, but not added to the price.  The cherry glaze was advertised on the site at £6 and that is what I paid, hopefully a quick check of your confirmation email should show the same?

Err Carl, dont you already have the paste version, a sample of the paste version and one of the obsidian waxes.  Why two bottles?   :D

As a footnote Kevin did mention the paste abyss might just shade it durability wise over the spray.  Not going to stop me getting one mind, I love a bargain, though apparently not as much as Dinski  :p

Youre right about the VAT...Apologies

I have the Paste version too...Having the Spray version will add to it without having to reapply the paste as a second coat

Also...Its much quicker

Hope its good. Was a real tough choice between the AB, the DAS-21E and the DAS 6 Pro Plus

Don't think I will be ordering anything else now. Unless the put chasm in the sale.

Has anyone used their Very Cherry Wheel Cleaner? How is it?

I use Valet Pro Bilberry at the moment but I've nearly run out.

The very cherry 5 litre at the current sale price isnt too much more than 1 litre of valet pro.

I find the Very Cherry excellent, really good wheel cleaner and at 5-1 dilution still really effective so it lasts ages.  I have run it on a Group Buy recently for samples, but with a 5 litre down to £15.00 exc delivery there is nothing to lose.  Complete Bargain.

I am completely eyeing up some Very Cherry and Citrus Wash in 5 litre

Thanks Sparkly. Looks like 5L will be falling into my basket!

Karl thanks for the thread, you've just depleted my bank account ;)

I'm managing to resist (so far).

SWMBO has already notice the large number of parcels being delivered and the increasing number of towels going through the washing machine...

While your talking about this:

Pay the same for some Carbon Collective Platinum Wheel Sealer and youll never use a Wheel cleaner again!!

Hope your commission is good Chris ;)

Joking aside, it's a very vald point that good wheel protection will always helps massively, but I'm not always detailing my own car and a 5 litre bottle of wheel cleaner lasts a very long way even when used with a big blaster nozzle sprayer (at 5-1 dilution it's like owning 50x500ml bottles of wheel cleaner, so at a bottle a month usage :o you have over 4 years worth) and is very versatile too.

I find Very Cherry in particular is also great for getting tyre side walls really clean which is important before applying Tyre Dressing and does a pretty mean job on the arches too if you hit them with a spray whilst doing the wheels.

I know..I wasnt referring to other cars

Ive not applied anything to my wheels for many months

Its worth having in if youre doing other cars..Totally agree

I was just saying this might not be entirely true, even if you do buy it :D

Why?

I havent used anything on mine

But If youre going to leave the Alloys unwashed for weeks, then possibly you might need a cleaner to break through it

I dont leave mine any longer than a week...usually less

Maybe not "never" say if I left my wheels for a year but this car was washed a month ago and was like this before today. post-113948-14158064528244_thumb.jpg

This was just after a quick jet down post-113948-14158065598354_thumb.jpg

From what I've found it repels the brake dust and causes the mud do clump up and just fall off over time

SiO2 (the ceramic bit always annoys me) wheel sealants are great, literally my only point was that  "and you'll never use a wheel cleaner again" was a bit strong I can think of lots of instance where you would still reach for it, like the cars that you clean that aren't wearing sealant  :)

But really not a big deal. I just thought it was funny.

You know like "once you've tried flora in your sandwiches you'll never eat butter again" (unless you buy a pre-made sandwich or require it for baking etc)

I see there are still some small tepees in the section

Yeah it's definitely not Never but on a car kept clean like a Clio you're fine without it ;)

Yeah cars with drum brakes fitted at the rear don't take as much cleaning :giggle:
