Retro Fit Sat-Nav

Featured Replies

Looks good but £849 fitted!??

I'm failing to see the difference between this kit and the eBay ones at half the price.

As I jumped over to a car on its way rather than wait for my original order, the one thing I wanted that wasn't fitted was satnav.

I had a similar unit fitted to mine through the dealer, it wasn't as expensive as above but a little bit over the cost of speccing Amundsen. As I got a sweet deal on the car I was happy to pay it.

Mine uses Desnav(Navtec) software, and works pretty well :)

Amunsden ain't worth that kinda wedge

I'll stick to a tom tom for that kind of price :D

Just noticed they now have an "official" sat nav upgrade for the standard Golf MK7 unit.

I'm awaiting a reply from them regards cost, and see if it can be installed in an octavia!!

edit: just seen its also on Kenwoods website.

I was in my local dealer today and noticed an after market Kenwood sat-nav system that can be supplied and fitted by them (Skoda) for £1150 inc vat!

£600 in my local dealership fitted for the mk7 golf kit

I might wait and see what happens with car play or mirror link, my iPhone sat nav has been great and if it can some way talk to the head unit and show the same display, job done, I'd be happy.

Knowing my luck though, it'll mean replacing the head until anyway!!!
