  • What amazed me was. After he did a massively dangerous undertake/overtake... He did exactly the same thing again, but in reverse! Mental!

  • Absolutely - Really should be pulling out to extend the view before actually committing to the manouvere.  Proper driving.

  • Agreed. I do it a lot myself (: Especially in the HTP. That gives me roughly 3 hours to build up speed and assess the situation ahead before i commit haha.

Imho once the view was clear (ie. the van had pulled in) the camera car should have been 'accelerating briskly', which is not the impression I get looking at the video.

I know what you're saying mate, but 'briskly' isnt always possible in a lorry or a company van.

Many of which are restricted i 60 or 70mph. He could of just been sat on the limiter. I dont know.

Maybe he had a tracker fitted which records if hes speeding, so he wasnt doing so.

I dont know.

We can

We can only speculate i guess (:

Reg check says its a Golf GT Tdi 170. Fail, should've bought a Golf R. ;-)

Irrespective of whether the vehicle with the camera was blocking or doing anything else, the driver of the golf should get the book thrown at him (preferably with a lead brick inside it).

What a complete and utter tool.

If it is Registered & Insured in Mummies name, and Junior is just a named driver, then it best have any Re-map or the likes declared

or that will be another hit from the Insurance Company.

Not really - keep sufficient distance between you and the vehicle in front to maintain a clear view - simple!

When you "pull out to get a view", you may just pull out in front of something coming straight at you, or pull into the path of someone who has already committed to overtake you - someone who has bided his time, kept his distance and seized the opportunity to pass both of you at the same time!

Or it could be some whos in there 60s?

Not all young'uns drive like that, the older generation are just as bad.

The Older Generation were once the Younger Generation,

born as babies and most were in their teens at one time

I'd love to but the car is so Damp due to this sunroof league it just won't catch.

The sunroof has its own 'league'?

Was on the phone at the time and my chubby fingers click 3 keys at once it's got a leak.

This is almost as mad as something an ex-workmate of mine did on a crawler lane in the works van while I was a passenger, we were behind 2 cars, the car directly in front of us pulls out to over take the car in front of him/her, so my work mate then overtakes both cars by crossing the double white line...

When we got back to the yard we were all hauled up to the office where our boss played a tape of a call he had received from the car that had been over taken and the boss demanded to know who was driving or all 3 of us would get our p45s, driver owned up and got his marching orders....

At least he/she indicated!  :D i jest.......shocking driving...... :swear:

Here is another excellent example of ''britains" finest driving.

FTFY

Soon as I saw Luton I didn't really need to read on but I did and I was right.

That sound exactly the same thing that happend on the Fochabers crawler lane about ten years back. That story had a very bad ending wiping out an innocent couple and the car was just a pile of metal.

On the news tonight it said,

'The Police had identified the car',

& i thought, top marks, most of us managed that,  what about the Driver, have they identified him /her ?

they maybe meant that.

Someone was named on line, no idea if it was that person though.

After a week driving in Thailand this is standard practice, or undertaking on hard shoulder.

Maybe s/he has just come back from Thailand, or maybe s/he is just a ****.

Better to get your marching orders than end up dead as could so easily have happened

It is being reported that a 26 year old man has now been reported to the Procurator Fiscal by the Police following their investigations.

Edited by goneoffSKi

worst i saw was coming home on m1 3 lane stretch lorry on inside lane lorry in second lane overtaking it . car was in middle lane not going much faster than lorry & i was making good speed at catching it up . i was about to overtake checked mirror & saw a pocket rocket coming up at well over a 100mph ( didnt quite make me look like i was crawling along but close enough ) as it went by it there was another car wedged on his back bumper chasing him . then captain slow in the middle lane pulls out into outside lane to overtake lorry .guy who has just flown by without even braking pulls across all 3 lanes & undertakes all 3 motors down the hard shoulder. the guy chasing his bottles it  (probably now realizes what a nutter he is chasing) & hammers on his brakes nearly rear ending car & lorry . i pass him 1/2 a mile later & he is doing 50 ish luckily nobody got hurt
