Škoda Winter Health Check

Featured Replies

Anyone signed up for the £25.00 ŠKODA Winter Health Check?, thought I'd give it a go as the car hasn't been in the workshop since I picked it up over a year ago, so an inspection wouldn't be amiss I guess.

Funny thing was that my supplying dealer (Trans City in Walthamstow) wasn't offered as an option on the on-line booking system so I'm giving Preston Motors a go (Well if they are good enough for Boss Fox as they say) :)

I wouldn't bother it's just basic checks that you do at the weekend anyway. Fluid levels check, tyre check and a wash

I don't check the operation of my AirCon at the weekend though; although as you say the other checks are pretty straight forward :)

Would'nt want to pass £25 for the basic checks they do.

Are you getting the free Skoda sledge or shovel too?

I had it done yesterday. I viewed it as paid 25 for a sledge and a health check. As it turns out was beneficial as they spotted something I hadnt... sledge is fun. Although only used it on a sand dune with the dogs pulling me. The brake caught me out though.

All done, no issues found and the Snow Shovel will give some peace of mind if the weather takes a real turn for the worse.

Was pleased with the service provided by Preston Motors in Forest Gate, East London. :)

If you've had it over a year...shouldn't it have had it's first service by now? That's at 10,000m OR 12 months, whichever is first.

Variable servicing, so 2-years or 18k miles is my understanding :)

I was probably tucking into the Sausage Sandwich that the parts guy kindly ordered for me whilst I was waiting and he was arranging delivery of grub for the troops

Next time I'll pop over :)
