Egr Delate Or Blanked Off

Featured Replies

Can the EGR safely be blanked off or deleted?? thinking of getting it done on both our 1.9tdis 59 and 10 plate, any problems if it can be done, MOT???.

Had it done on my MY2006 1.9 BXE engined Octavia, no worries.

My MY2010 2.0CR TDi Superb II threw an engine warning light inside it's warranty period, turned out the EGR cooling valve was leaking. A very common problem. The entire thing was replaced under warranty. Got it disabled when I had my Superb remapped a few weeks later, so I don't have to worry about it later...

Keep in mind you can't just blank it off or disable it, you will to disable the EGR in the car's software aswell. Any reputable tuner should be able to do it for you.
