Standard Foglights For Led

Featured Replies

I have searched, honest, but I'm not sure the search is working properly!

Anyway, I have an Se with Xenons, LED drl's and would like to change the fogs to LED also, I'm sure I read that they are H8 can someone confirm, also is there a guide on removal etc?

Cheers.

They are H8, dunno about removal I'll have a read up

Cheers mate

Owners manual has instructions on how to replace bulbs.

+1

Search is next to useless since last week. Keyword matching is terrible!

Cheers mate

I got some Led H8's coming, they'd have been here other than the Parcelforce driver who want to drop at the main post office in town where I have to pay to park instead of the sub-post office a 1,000 yards from my house but, I'm over it now, I swear I'm over it.  In fact  I profanitised at length to Parcelforce's customer service centre but its ok, cause I'm OVER IT

MTEC super white - pure white @ 4,200K coming from France but cheap and with a C mark ie. legal

Is the op aware of the reason that fogs are a yellow colour before proceeding?

But their not yellow, they are a yellowish shade of white and only look yellow due to the whiteness of the xenons which is what most people replacing them are trying to recreate.

Yes, very much so. Thanks

Ok doke :)

Man of many words, 17 to be precise.

Owners manual has instructions on how to replace bulbs.

Page 258, it looks a bit trickyier than the dipped and main beams but, not too bad.  After a rocket up customer services yesterday, Parcelforce decieded to re-deliver to nextdoor as I was out but, I've fitted the dipped & main beams so, shall try them out this evening, if alls well, I'll fit the fogs tomorrow and repost on the differculty or not as the case maybe.  If I'd had the time I'd havedone the lot but, the bulbs are slightly different so I'm not sure I'll keep them although, the suppliers are saying they're an upgrade model, they would really, wouldn't they.

Can't wait for 5pm.

Ok changing the front fogs light bulbs.

The only bit the manual misses is that there are two holes in the "protective grill" use the one nearest the joint and pull the grill straight towards you, not to side of the car as implied in the manual on Pg 258.

Half a leisurely hour with a cuppa and 5 mins of that was spent trying to find the very small "clamp for removing wheel trims" I kidd you not its near Fn hidden in the foam jack liner.

Have you managed to find error free H8 LED's, if so where from?

I've already had a look at the removal of the grille surround when fitting my other bulbs, just pulled it off without using the tool as per instruction manual.

Shocked at how easy it came off.

No 4350K HID's instead, very cold white but they are error free, look just like the rest of the front end now H7's and H15s too.  If you were shocked by the grill removal just wait till you remove the self tapping screws which go straight into the bumper plastic WTF, the OSF fog unit fell into my lap, lazy arse sitting down I know.

could I ask where you got them from mate?

Looking on site it says bulbs for off road use only.

You don't need or want error free replacement LED's - they can be coded in correctly on the body module. See the tweaks thread.

+ the canbus cancellers (resistors) make a lot of heat and could cause problems...
