Dashboard Lighting Question

Featured Replies

Having not driven it for 3 weeks, I now find I only drive in the dark  - and I cannot remember if the dash air vents did or didn't have illumination before?

It just looks wrong somehow with only the hazard switch lit up in the top third of the dash.  I'm sure I remember the thumbwheels being lit before.

So - shoud the vents be lit or not?

They never have in mine.  All that lights up are gauges MDI (gets brighter) and any air con etc that is switched on

In the Toledo there is red dash/switch lighting everywhere once you put the side lights on - do you have the same in green in the skoda?

I must have imagined it.  Can't believe my memory doesn't last 3 weeks.

When I said Toledo's are for old geezer's I included myself in that

Lookedlast night as I was driving to gym, all that lights up are MDI Gauges and radio,

When I'm driving at night, the less that lights up the better to avoid glare on the windscreen. I don't have mine yet but I take it that there's a week twirly thing that lets you adjust the brightness of the display?

Nope.  More cost cutting.

I think the satnav has a brightness function somewhere in the menus though

Whilst your here Camelspyyder does your Toledo have the cooled glovebox? And can you lower the passenger side front or even the rear windows from the drivers seat?

I forgot to look when test driving, the Citigo I have you have to lean over to lower the passenger side window (not whilst driving of course) no switch drivers side.

When you push and hold the right knob on the stereo, there is a setting for brightness, but when I change, it nothing seems to change with regard to the brightness of anything.

I don't know what that's all about...

Perhaps you guys can play to try and figure it out

Yes mate, on the SE for sure the aircon goes into the glove box to keep pop cool on long trips, there's a rotary open shut grill in there to control the airflow.

All 4 window switches are on the driver armrest.

Perfect, thanks.

You have a new friend now. We should set up an in exile or ex Skoda (does that make sense)  Seat Toledo sub forum in the Rapid section. :peek:

It's the swing
