Independent dealer in Reading

Featured Replies

Well, it's been a while but I'm back in a Skoda again, got a little 2006 Skoda Fabia 1.9TDI to run to work and back.

Got a couple of problems with it, passenger window wire snapped tonight I think judging by the loud bang and the window not working properly now and it also has the regular rear door leak on one side.

Rather than paying inflated main dealer prices (they quoted £240 for the window fix !), can anyone recommend a good Independent dealer in the Reading Berkshire area ?

cheers

Not used them although I have enquired in the past (just ended up being elsewhere when needing the work done)

They crop up on this forum regularly so I would assume they're a good shout?

P.s.  The window regulator can be done DIY.  Loads of threads on here..

ECP sell the full regulator so you just drill the rivets out of the old one and swap this like for like.  It's a pig of a job if you knock the locking rod out but otherwise it's ok...
