Since I started the topic, just to confirm, superskoda.com is the way to go. Had the mirror in my Octy 3 and then moved to my Superb my2011. Works fantastic, zero issue with fitting. Follow the instructions though, it has to be very close to the very top. I tried two three times without removing the adhesive cover, then did it with one swift movement. Cheers

To anyone out there still interested: moved back to Octy III (yay) but alas, this lovely little mirror will not work anymore. Not sure if it's the make year (2016) or the extras that caused mine to have a different mirror, but I cannot even wedge it in without almost breaking it, and it has zero space to be glued to the windshield above the mirror.... I am a little sad as I loved this feature (and seeing my 2 kids heads bobbing when they are sleeping). 

 

Anyone has the same? and maybe a solution as well? I am not crazy but I will almost pay anything to get this to work again....

@Gyuri - do you have lane assist and/or traffic sign recognition? The resultant camera installed behind the mirror, pointing forwards could be the issue.

I have high-beam assist, with sensor behind mirror - but it's smaller and should fit mine. I have a MY16, and a Škoda-mirror on order from superskoda. I'm expecting mine to fit, from reading their product description.

Nevertheless, the interior mirror is of a different shape than in the brochures. Bizarre

Interestingly Skoda has the nerve to keep the 2nd image online, which is something that did not exist since day 1 (where the mirror was supposed to be clipped onto the lighting+shades holder trim).

 

It does say however, "cannot be fitter to mirrors with auxiliary systems" which again is weird as I don't recall having any....

 

My quest continues

Circling back: I do have the same mirror as TomLux and luckyeddie here, meaning it cannot be glued to the windshield. For some reason the wedgie trick does not work for me, probably due my height and mirror setup.

 

Also danbt79 is right, I do have assist camera on my mirror, but it's the secondary sensor for the front assist system. 

 

So long story short, it seems if you have any assist system, you get a different mirror, with which the additional mirror will not fit. It's a shame really, as I loved this option in my 2 previous Skodas. 

 

I am not giving up yet though, will try to experiment maybe I succeed who knows...

Has anyone found a cheaper option recently?

 

The one on superskoda looks like it only fits if you don't have the lane assist camera, and will be about £60 in postage, seems steep for a mirror!
