led puddle lights

Featured Replies

Is it possible to change the standard puddle lights to led on the f/l yeti if so which led's do i need as not to get bulb out errors and is there a guide on how to change them.

I doubt if the puddle lights will be in the bulb failure system, as they are linked to the interior lighting circuit.

Can you tell me where i can get the led bulbs from any links to a web page ?

I got some from eb*y and some from Amaz*n. Both types have suffered, to be honest, either failing completely or individual LEDs going intermittent. The theory is there but I think it's fair to say you pay for what you get....!

I use Ultraleds (http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/) for all that I have ever needed, and have found them excellent to deal with.

If one has "blown" soon after buying they have replaced it without question, but only happened once.

They don't cause bulb out warnings, I've used them on both my Yetis.

I'm interested also.  I have a pre F/L yeti and would also like to know what's in there, bulb holder/wiring etc ???

VAG do not normally include wiring looms for items not fitted to the car, so wiring looms the mirror base (with the lights in) will be the minimum parts needed, then possibly some VCDS coding to turn them on.
