sunvisor removal

Featured Replies

Im trying to remove my roof lining in my vrs hatch.

Ive got everything off bar the sunvisor.

I cant get the main body of the sunvisor unhooked, any tips?

Workshop manuals wasnt any help

The hook for the actual sunvisors (not the separate clips) has a Torx screw under a flap.

Undo that then you'll need to prise down the edge nearest the passenger or driver's head as the edge nearest the windscreen has a large tab on it that won't prise out.

Getting the cover off the Sunvisors clip (the separate part near the rear view mirror) takes some effort with a stiff plastic trim tool, but it basically pops off.

Clips hold the cover to front and rear, so prise from the side.

If you need any spares I have all pillar trims from a Vrs along with the top bit that goes at the back of the headlining by the boot hinges: othwise it's all going in the dump.

Cheers guys.

Got them off without any damage. Started to deaden the roof and sliced into my thumb with a knife so that put a premature end to the day lol
