Nissan Leaf deals

Featured Replies

Just looking on Drive the deal and there appears to be some mad deals on Leafs. Nissan leaf Acenta Flex RRP £23,590, discounted price £12,890. I know there is a £5k government subsidy but that seems crazy for a new car. I'm half tempted but sure I must be missing something? I don't do mega miles, ~6k pa, and 90% of my journeys are under 100 miles, we have a family car for long runs. What's stopping me lol

got a link?

Don't forget that with all the 'Flex' models you'll be paying out £70+ each month for the battery leasing. As I don't spend that on fuel currently id rather be looking at one of their offers on a full out purchase - think they had top of the range Tekna (non Flex) version for less than 20k when I last looked on there. :)

They're about 12-14k second hand so that does appear to be a pretty spectacular deal if the car will work for you.

Suprised Boss hasnt arrived in here yet.

Was working.

I expect the OP has missed out the fact that some are FLEX models and some aren't.

Or the DtD thing is broken.

I just had a look and no Nissans listed at all (2pm)

You can't normally buy an Acenta mid-spec car under £19k new.  No FLEX/battery lease.

Ours will be for sale soon (one year old, less than 8k miles) for £13k.

They're still listed. Maybe Drivethedeal has blocked you IP as they cant keep up with you purchasing demands? ;)

There are a couple of special deals, just noticed... but Nissan have vanished from the drop down menu.

On that car it's a dealer discount of around £5k and around another £5k off because you are not buying the battery.

For what it is, it's cheap.

About what fleet customers pay, or a little less than we do.

But personally the batteries are tried and tested now, so I'd buy the battery and have minimal running costs.

I suspect they are clearing out the cars with the older 3.3kW charging (slow - 8 hours).

We only buy the 6.6kW cars, that charge at home/work in 4 hours.

New version should be announced in the next month or two as well.

I had a look on the Nissan direct website but couldn't see any deals where you can actually buy the batteries as well as the car, I'll have to have another look later. Charging time wouldn't be an issue as I would probably only need to charge it once or twice a week.

The cars are usually listed as two versions in the trim available.

So Acenta and Acenta Flex, Tenka and Tekna Flex.

The Flex cars without the battery are usually £5k cheaper and you have to sign up to a lease agreement for the battery instead.

there's a couple of flex versions with the 6.6kW charger fitted listed on there but the one I made reference to in post no. 3 is good value being a non flex Tekna at £19,980. :) Ive got the 32a Leaf charger installed at home so it wouldn't be too much of an issue tbh... Quite tempting once again!

Thanks for clearing that up, I'll take a look later. If I can persuade work to install a charger at work (I work for an environmental company), they I should get away without charging it at home at all lol

Has there been any drop in battery capacity in that time?

Has there been any drop in battery capacity in that time?

None, as you'd expect.

When I sold my own one after 6 months and 10,000 miles it was showing a slightly greater capacity that when it arrived.

The concerns have proven to be unfounded.

I know people on the LEAF forum around 40-50k miles that have lost less than 5% battery capacity.

As per my LEAF/Electric car thread in the Briskoda Members Cars section.

could be tempted to look at this in 12 months for swmbo. If the tech has come on, it would suit her driving needs quite well. Just will depend on my work vehicle outlook into the near future..

Drive the deal phoned me back today. £1k down, £46 a month for the car + £70 a month for the battery. He said you would only do it this way if you were going to hand it back after the 2 year term. I will do some man maths and see if I can make the figures match. I could sell my car to pay off my Mrs car and cover the deposit.

Doesn't sound right. Should that be £146 / month?

If they are right & you can make the leaf work for you, then not much to gthink about.

A brand new mid range car, with negligible running costs for £158 / Month. That's only £36.46 a week with minimal electic costs to fuel it. Bargain :)

very true that mate, will try and get one on a 3 day loan. Deal finishes 31/12/14 and I'm in the middle of having my extension finished and a new kitchen installed, don't think I will have the time before the cut-off. I don't really want to rush into anything!

What was the mileage limit?
