Best sounding cars...

We generally need more than 4 cylinders in a car, for the best sound IMO.

  • Quite like the c63 AMG's when they get booted!

  • BRM V16    Cosworth BDA series sounded good too.   My Laverda 1200 with Jota endurance racing cams and conti exhausts (basically open mega's)

  • And the unmistakable, legendary sound of the 1.2 3 cylinder HTP. Oh hang on...

Depends what you like.

Id rather hear a burbling RSV than a screaming CBR.

Much prefer a V power delivery wise too.

The flat 4 burble from a Subaru is quite distinctive and nice, but I have to agree, there's not many inline 4's that sound good in cars.

Thats true. Forgot about the flat 4.

Inline 4's dont do much for me. Bikes and cars. I avoid them (:

In Soviet Russia (not a car sry)

Most stuff sounds good without an exhaust though, my Motto Guzzi 850 le mans sounded awesome, and sometimes id go for a ride without them on
