Brown car

Featured Replies

Don't you ever wish there was an option for a brown / sandy coloured car..........

that is DIRTY!!

My parents had a beige or sand coloured Volvo years ago, it was handy in the winter months!

There is.

Why oh why did I think this was gonna be an L and K thread ?

Jees, you know the score.  Some folks on here will tell you that not washing your car twice a week with the 2 bucket method followed by spending hours applying lashings of gtechniq products means that you don't give two hoots about your car.  Now, go get the sponge out.   Oooh did someone mention sponge...strike me down, they're the fabric of Satan.

I think i'm going on a mud hunt now, I like the look very much.  You're onto something there.

This is the other option. We don't have metal grey in France, but another colour called Meteor Grey. I was a bit sceptic and went to another cc to see it in the flesh. Was a bit disappointed as it was too much blue for my taste. Then the guy did show us the cappuccino beige; and this was his main argument: the car always seems clean...

Cappuccino beige is probably the best colour to hide the dirt. Topaz brown is a little dark to do the job.

Meh. That's cheating you have a head start having a White car.

True enough Cappuccino Beige does a very good job of hiding the dirt!

To be honest it wasn't my colour of choice by a long way, I wanted metallic red or silver but last year due to high demand I was given a choice of one car in Europe if I wanted a diesel engined Elegance spec estate car which happened to be in Cappuccino Beige...

It's not too bad when you get used to it!

Cappuccino beige with l &k combo is a nice car imo. As i said previously if they did a 220 ps model, i'd buy one. Some just don't get time to wash cars busy lives and all and in the uk in the last two weeks its been v cold with worse forecast apparently. I'd rather leave it dirty than use these drive in hand car washes. Seen them jetwashing wash mitts on the floorin the past! :-0

You must have automatic boot. Mine hasn't and has the tell tale finger marks that look like someone has tried crimping the boot lid edge.

Meteor Grey holds up pretty well though.

I had a beige Citroen c3 Picasso - that always looked pretty clean despite driving to work through the countryside every day. My black magic Superb looks filthy about two minutes after washing it... :(

We've a Race Blue Mk III on order but I'll miss our low maintenance Sahara Beige Mk II.

I think the Sahara was an even closer shade to "long term dried road dirt brown" than the Cappucino.

Which was exactly why we got the Sahara.

Why oh why did I now decide to get a Race Blue thinking I'll have time to wash it every Saturday?
