Citigo black may have to go :(

Featured Replies

Got rid of my GT86 and bought a citigo black and an MX-5 for fun unfortunately injury and ill health means they both may have to go

The citigo is mint with less than 2000 miles

What sort of price would I be looking at do you reckon

I'll clear finance off before sale

Other option is trade both in anybody ever traded 2 cars need comfort and decent economy for hospital journey

Was thinking of a yeti or perhaps a rapid as I'm really impressed with the little citigo

I have a Rapid too and would highly recommend it for comfort and a decent punchy Tsi engine[emoji106]

Sorry can't help you with pricing.

The Citigo is pretty comfortable for it's size and ideal for the economy side. But if it's something bigger you need then as the above, Rapid/Spaceback.

What MX-5 do you have?

Wisebuyers guide is always about on the money so to speak for price guide, although I got around £300 above their top book price on my Citigo.

MX-5 sport venture 1.8 only got 200 miles

Will have a look at wise buyers cheers

dont think I'm going to be able to use the mx-5 so figured get rid of both and get something that's ecenomical with a bit of power

Agree citigo is pretty comfy I'm just used to having power and economy

You can't really go wrong with this one, that's if it's your taste, it's a Rapid in Seat clothing. I paid £500 more for mine a few weeks ago. Pre reg 20 miles on the clock what's not to like.

I've got the Mk3 Sport MX-5, it gets used for those fun days and when I can still get in it (I'm getting on a bit now) I'll keep it.

As a guide when the citigo first came out (demand was apparently fairly high?) I bought a second hand SE with 400 miles on the clock and 6 months old.

The lady had an illness very shortly after taking delivery and left it in her garage for 6 months then basically gave it back to main dealer to sell.

It was £9,250.00 OTR @ 1st Sept 2012 and I walked away with it in February 2013 for just shy of £7.5k, full tank of fuel, brand new citigo mats and as I have found out including a 3 year service pack, so not sure how much of a hit you may take on the black?

Realisticly IMHO you will get knocked between £1.5k to £2.5k based on my experience.

My father in law a few years back bought a brand new Clio on the model change in 2008 hated the new model, something to do with position of the door handles inside on the 3 door. Took it back within 3 days and traded it for the last of the previous shape and took a £1.5k hit with only a couple hundred miles!

We buy any car. Mines an elegance 5 Dr green tech 60bhp and it's worth £6995.

Though if you look at the threads here some have had very shocking results for their sports and special editions.

We traded in an Octy II FL Vrs & Fabia II 1.2  to the same dealer. SWMBO wanted comfort & I wanted the acceleration for a Yeti L&K 1.8. which suited us both.

We also have a 12 yr old MX5 as our weekend car.

Based on your reasons i would suggest a Yeti 140 BHP Diesel,( you choose spec you would like)  as you step across into the car, unlike others where you either have to step down / up depending on what you look at.

With ref to prices, i would recommend you do a little research and checkout  the likes of Auto trader / Piston heads etc to see what they are going for.

We buy any car are a joke won't be selling to them

I really like it wish it had a bit more power and I should have gone 5 door

Saying that I've been on motorway a few times over the last 2 weeks going to my hospital appointments and it's really quite good at motorway speeds

I agree, absolutely fine on motorways.
