Lenovo S8 tablet

Featured Replies

Thinking about getting one of these to replace my Asus Nexus 7 (2012) which has started to seem slow and a bit reluctant at times also it doesn't have a rear camera or sd micro slot... anyone have thoughts on this?

I don't know about that particular model, but I have the Yoga 10 Tabley which I am more than happy with. Bought it in October, mainly used for Web surfing and watching films. The Yoga has Dolby speakers and they are pretty good.

My only gripes are the touch screen can take a few taps to respond, and ALL apps are displayed on the screen(s), unlike Samsung who place unused apps in settings.

I got round this by placing all the unused ones in one folder in the second screen.

2 in our family have Lenovo tablets - oldest one is about 18 months old,  Not the highest specs but both users are more than happy - for what they paid they're good value.

For those who've not heard of them they are a "big brand" - used to be IBM's PC business.

Not quite correct, Lenovo is a very large CHINESE electronics firm who BOUGHT IBMs PC business.

They also bought Iomega.

They make a huge range of mobile phones and tablets - all at very reasonable prices; I was tempted by one of the new "Golden Dragon" range myself, but opted for the Umi "Zero" instead, as I like to be different.
