Not quite,as one very large bore in each corner, as opposed to twin,side by side smaller singles

I meant the RS3 seems to have the same layout as all the more recent RS cars I've seen - one fairly large outlet (or trim) on either side

Yep, RS has always been 2 x large bore pipes (recently anyway)

The quad pipes has been more associated with the S models.

My last S4 had quads :)

    I can't think of any Audi RS models with twin side-by-side exhausts. The trademark Audi RS exhaust is two large ovals at either end of the bumper as far as I was aware :-)

    Not an RS, but im sure I've seen an r8's with 2 twin exhausts.

    That is the normal RS look and it looks better than a car with less power having four tailpipes IMO.

    Your bias to the Golf R is clouding your judgement.... ;):D

    but that's the old car, and it had a similar exhaust treatment to the old B5 RS4, so that's the retro look as apart from the RS Q3 all current RS cars have that large outlet on either side.

    it would have been far simpler and saved a lot of confusion had you simply said what you were comparing the exhaust on the upcoming RS3 to

    Sorry if you went off on a tangent but I was comparing EGGS FOR EGGS:that is Current RS3 with yet to be seen in the showroom version 2015 model

    you knew exactly what I was saying because I explained as such, it was clear nobody knew what you were on about. and you were wrong :)

    nope, there's been a lot of unhappy people commenting on the lack of wide arches :(

    It's an RS Audi.

     

    RS = premium price as halo car to the rest of the humdrum versions.

    Audi = bugger all kit unless you pay 20-40% more than base spec, to make the residual values look artificially good as it doesn't include options.
