Just want some advice on what i should say if they keep taking ages and the problem is not fully fixed by the end of the week? Can i reject the car and get a full refund of what i have been paying so far? Because if it can't be fixed and/or is taking too long then what am i paying for..? A citigo?

You can not reject it really if they put it right.

But point out to the Skoda UK Customer Services Handler or Warranty Manager or Dealership Principal,

that 'If you feel there are an issue with 2 tyres, and you do not know why they are faulty, you should change all 4 tyres as you have

been doing for other customers'.

?

And ask please,

what the Tyre Manufacturers Technical Department have said up to now on the Tyre Problem,

& are your pair of tyres going to them for examination?

I know but if it's not done by Friday then i will ask for some sort of discount or something because i've lost a week without the car but still have paid to use it. I will wait to hear from them by Wednesday and ask them more questions about the tyres and if they will guarantee that the problem won't come back

You'll not get any discount or anything like that especially as George says, they've provided you with a courtesy car so you can continue you're daily business.

Mine was in for a week as well but if they're working on it then that's all that matters.

Yeah i know but the fault was there before they sold the car so it's different than something going wrong and then doing work on it. I have a courtesy car yes but it's not right how they say it will take X amount of time and increase it. That's the third time they have increased it.

I did test drive the car first but only for 15min and never noticed the pull as always had my hands on the wheel..

Update: spoke to dealer on Monday as i said and got told they're waiting to fit the tyres so waited until today and nobody rang. So i rang up, services was busy and asked to get a call back..noone rang me back. Rang second time, guy was on lunch from services and again asked to ring me back..noone rang me back. Rang third time telling them nobody has rang me and that i want to know what is going on and guy told me he will have a word and get them to ring me in a min (that was 2 hours ago). So going to ask to speak to the manager in the morning and complain cos they're obviously not taking this seriously...

Fair dues, they're taking the wee wee now, I didn't have any hassle with mine but I'd be p****d by now if it was me.

Being informed that rejecting the car is an option but i love my car and don't want to reject it. Asking for compensation of some sort is another option but how and what? Can i say "fit me a Amundsen sat nav as compensation" or something like an add on along those lines or am i dreaming?

Doubt you'd get physical items as compo, they may chuck in some free servicing or something like that if you're lucky.

It is a bit of a jump from your Dad driving it and noticing the 'Pulling Left' to then rejecting the car,

you have been talking about modifying it since you got it.

'You need to put in writing to the Dealership Manager, Principal or who ever is running the place.

& forward to Skoda UK Customer Services as well',  and see what the excuses are and why there is no actions taking place.

The only "mods" i have done are leds and hid kit, and only other mods i would do would be a performance air filter and possibly a remap in 2-3 years. I don't want to reject the car, as i have already said, i really like the car and really enjoy it but i'm fed up of waiting and not getting dealt with properly. And yes my dad drove it and told me to get it sorted ASAP which i'm trying to do.

Okay thanks, will ask to speak to them in the morning and see what they say.

Mines a new car and it came with continentals on - tracks great. You can let go of the wheel, have a nap, finish some emails and eat a bacon sandwich (not like Milliband mind) and it will still be pointing dead ahead.

As Ive already said, you need to take it to an alignment specialist. A full geo needs to be done. Incorrect camber at the rear can affect front toe. Also a worn or bent (minutely) shock can affect castor angle. I seem to remember that a certain batch of renault had incorrectly fitted rear axels that were causing all manner of issues at the time.

It needs setting up properly, correctly weighted etc by someone trained in that field and not some rarsclart with half an idea.

What I'm saying is that they probably don't know how.

If they cannot resolve it maybe suggest you have it done and they pay for it?

Good point, exactly what I was thinking

Anyone with cars that pull to the left had better results on smaller winter tyres?

My car has a slight pull to the left but so did my last 2 fabias, but have recently got a set of 16" winters

Should be interesting if I swap over this winter, even though I suppose the rolling circumference won't be much different

Straight as an Arrow on 15 inch steelies with Dunlop Winter 4d's.  Still a slight pull with the 17s with the new P Zeros but nothing like as bad as with the Dunlops that it came from the factory with.

Basically if you have a pulling to the left issue and have Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres then the tyres need to be changed.  You can go through the whole alignment argument all day long but it won't change anything, its within tolerance.

?

So can the Dunlop Sport Maxx be changed for a new set of Dunlop Sport Maxx on the rims with the run out stripes correct,

& will it no longer pull to the left?

Because unless it can, then the car is not correctly set up.

?

Do you have any figures for what these tolerances are that you speak of.?

Because Right Hand Drive cars in the UK on 205/40 R 17 tyres pulling left tolerances seem rather hard to find.

Just got back from dealer, changed front wheels for Continentals sport and problem solved, no more pulling. They explained that the problem was with the tyres but can't remember the technical stuff they said about the tyres which made the car pull to the left. Done tracking and everything is fine now.

As regards to the complaint, i spoke to the manager and he said i should've been treated better as customer service is their priority and been kept updated and he apologised and will look into it and give me a call..

You should have had all four tyres changed. I'd be going back asking for that.

It is nice when the change all 4 under warranty, and he could ask for it.

But since there is no issue with the rears,  and if the car was actually Correctly Aligned they could have put 2 brand new Dunlop Sport Maxx on the front,

the Tyres where either on the Rims wrong, or the 'Adjustments', done corrected things,

or the other way, 'The Continentals' while new will disguise the Pulling to the left.

Dunlop or Skoda should really say what is wrong with the tyres put on the car.

But then Continentals have been changed as well for Pirellis Zero Neros when there was 'Pulling to the left',

So Continental should say what was wrong with their tyres,

or is it just the Skoda Factory that has an issue building & Aligning some Right Hand Drive Cars for the UK & other markets.?
