Then up to Jabba for the Re-map (Grin Factor 100/10) on the way home

If you don't mind me asking...roughly how much is it costing for the tints -- I'm looking at getting my vRS done -- have you done / going to do the Octavia as well ?

Yes the Octi is allready "pimped" see below.

Will post pics once done. The tints on the Octi are the darkest Leagally allowed, something like 37% light filtration.

How do you find it on the darkest tint - I was always a bit concerned about visibilty ???

No problem at night at all, infact it helps keep the glare down of the following traffic.

Sorry Jason no can do the National as i am at Brands Hatch that weekend. I am spannering for one of my friends in his first powerbike race since injury 18 mths ago.

I think that the Fabia vRS looks a superb package. I'm still scared about that 196bhp figure for the 130PD though.

Jabba get some great results on the 1.8T and 100PD and know what they are doing, but I can't help thinking that this is 'over the edge' in terms of long term reliability for the 130PD engine / transmission - especially if the torque goes much over 320lb/ft ?

I think it will still be a cracking car remapped with say 180bhp, a fantastic mid-range, and guaranteed longevity ?

I understand your concerns and will speak to Mike on Friday and explain them to him. Though they do have a 130 ps golf that they have re-mapped to these figures and that has done and is doing really well, ie:- No problems to report.

Cheers Greg - I'm not a techy expert by any means - its just that I have this figure in my head from my Audi diesel days of 320lb/ft being the sensible limit for the gearbox (and presumably other bits as well),

but I could be wrong !

As I'm a big diesel fan as well, it will be interesting to read what Mike's views are on tuning the 130PD.

It'll be seriously impressive if he's happy to run with 196 for your car with no visible black smoke.

Rob that is a very TRUE statement.

But we then start the age old debate of which colour vRS......

Anyway I picked Black Magic as the Octi is red and I feel that they are both good looking cars in their own right, irespective of colour.

Have you seen the tinting thats half silver half black, I seen it on a black Astra and it looked cool. I was searching the net for picture but cant find any.
