1.9tdi Roomster 2, horrible droney buzz under load 1200-1300rpm.

Hi everyone, Happy New Year to all Briskodians, has anyone had this occur; car has been re-mapped for economy by Darkside, since then this weird annoying noise, garage/tyres/exhausts people can't find 'owt wrong, sounds to me like a baffle has broken loose, perhaps under all the max-revs work on the RR at Darkside?? Sounds to be coming from the front-most silencer, occurs most when accelerating gently in 3rd, 4th or 5th gears.    Exhaust may be Nov 2007 original, is not leaking, is bog standard, unmodified.

My brother-in-law has a 1.9tdi engine in his ford galaxy which has the Volkswagen engine and as a passenger I hear the drone and vibration. I have always thought that he has laboured the engine and has wear in the main bearings. I may be wrong! When I drive it he tuts if I exceed 2200 revs in any gear but I was brought up believing that a engine lightly loaded at medium to high revs is better for the bearings than to slog away at low revs and labouring

have the map removed first see if it still does it

darkside should help with this

could possibly be the dual mass flywheel (if it had one im not sure)
