fabia door locks

Featured Replies

Hi all, getting worried that my rear passenger door will deadlock it's self shut.

Messaged a few of the fabias been broken for a replacement without luck. Can anyone tell me if there are any alternative cars I can get this from (occys etc)? And if possible a pic showing the exact part I need to replace?

Thanks!

Kyle

Iirc it's only a Fabia in this type, mine dead locked it's self shut, took a few hours of carefully smashing into the lock to twist the gear to undo it, utter pita

That's what scares me!

Not sure the exact part I need either, so can't even start the eBay process!

Cheers that's a real help, there's about 10 listed on there, would the front and rear be the same? So as long as I get one with central locking it should be ok?

Was thinking of this one 3B2837015AM

Also noticed that when my car locks its goes 'thunk thunk' as if it's locking twice, the locks kinda twitch twice as well, is this the same as anyone else's?

Front and rear are different, and yeah central locking, the double clunk is locking once and then the deadlock :)

Toxic, don't suppose you still have your old lock and could get the part number for me ?

Nope sorry it got sold to someone on here, I'll have a look for you now.

I was repairing a deadlocked rear door, tapping the motor with a hammer, while mashing the unlock button got it to shift and unlock

but the mechanism was clearly chewed to hell, so we just swapped one from another Fabia (newer by about 3 years) and it worked fine.
