MFD sat nav with Aux lead?

Featured Replies

Just fitted a genuine MFD sat nav unit into my Fabia VRS on the back there is aux socket and I have seen the following lead:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AUDI-3-5mm-Aux-IN-Input-Adapter/dp/B0081H067Q

I have the standard cd changer all working with the MFD but if I buy this lead and connect it to my phone will the cd changer still work or will this replace it?

Ideally I would like the aux lead and the cd changer both working with the MFD.

Thanks

Someone who knows the MFD1? will probably be better than me but that connector to the back of the unit looks like it would be different to a CD changer connector. Best bet is to try to find a pinout diagram on the web for your unit.

That lead does not replace the CD changer, its plugging into where the TV tuner would live so should work just fine. Just make sure you have the AUX input option in the menu as per the comments on the amazon page.

Ok thanks looks like it will work then, looking at the lead does anyone know what the thin yellow wire is for or goes to?

Thanks

Does it perhaps provide a power feed for a permanent device to be connected? If so it won't be needed in your case.
