Hi,

Just bought a new citigo Monte Carlo today after seeing it in the showroom on Sunday. Was a little apprehensive of the 60hp engine, but having driven a 60hp Up, it's really all I need.

What swung it was reading other peoples experience's of the car, especially FREEDOM's on this site.

Everyone's going for Red haha I should of got a black one

I'd never contemplated getting such a small car until Saturday and I'd never seen a Monte Carlo before Sunday. It just so happened to be a red one in the showroom and it looked so much better than the rest of this family of cars I saw on the day, those being a citigo elegance 5dr, seat mii mango and a vw groove up.

However, I'm chuffed with the red one - 1 more sleep til I get it:)

Enjoy it when it arrives and maybe take it to National Day... parade lap of Citigo's would look great! Welcome to the forums!

Attending the national meet would be fun I'm sure, depending upon venue... I'm up in Scotland, so I suspect whichever venue is chosen will be a decent hike.

Got it now and the handover went fine until I got in the car and noticed the overhead light wasn't working! Fixing it delayed my getaway until it was getting dark and a lot wetter so I haven't been able to fawn over it in daylight yet away from the garage:(

A pleasant wind assisted drive home at up to 70 with around 3000 rpm showing. Marvellous!

I was the same as you, didnt even consider a skoda, saw and tested plenty of other small cars but when I saw the Monte Carlo in Red, I knew right then it was the one.

Had mine a few months now and love it every time i get behind the wheel.

 

Any meets down south?

 

Cheers. I'm sure it'll bring a smile to my face for a long while too. It's not my first skoda though. Had a fabia VRs SE 2007-2009, which was splendid and have considered an octavia VRs a few times since then.

The guys in the office (average age ~40) are giving me mild grief about the go-faster stripes, but they're just a bit jealous really, I'm sure:)
