I love the cream of all motor transport. I was talking to a colleague at work who's friend has a dilemma. Does he get a new 997 Convertible or hold out for a Turbo, but if he holds out for the Turbo, he may as well get a DB9 Volante, or even a F430 spider [which he has on order for money making reasons]. What a life to lead, and how hard it must be

Anyway, out of all you can buy from 2005 - which one is the daddy ?

I do not wish to influence your decision >LOOK HERE<<<

Toss between the aston, the SLR

Aston for looks

SLR for wow factor

Yup, having looked at the photo, the Carrera GT's still the one I'd buy if I had an afternoon free.

Gallardo.

Like films at the cinema nowadays there are just too many to choose from and new ones out all the time. You could add about thirty to the list :)

new pagani zonda f or a jet black saleen s7r please, either is fine thanks.

Porsche Carrera GT all the way

Sound - SLR for the Messerschmitt noise it makes

Looks - DB9

'Pulling' Power - F430

I don't know..... Why isn't The Beast included?

One of each please, that would do me nicely...

The Aston DB9 Volante for me please... its sex on wheels.

Hardly the most raw performance car, but I think it would be quite "adequate"...

Even though i love the DB9 i voted for the McLaren merc. I saw them on top gear and was blown away on what they can do. But the Merc won it for me as it was a gentle giant on normal drive, but the put your foot down and it turns into a hooligan.

Lamborghini should have been the first on the list...Lambo & Pagani are both in a completely different league to the likes of Porsche and Ferrari, and on top of all that Mercedes & Aston Martin...they are, in fact, in a much higher class, given the fact that they are a rarity on the road, and when they are around, a majestic atmosphere is created and anyone around those two particular cars will bow down to them.

Porsche make great cars, but every other guy nowadays can have a Porsche. It has no class like it used too. Same goes with Ferrari (especially here, and you see alot of supercars here EVERYday)....it's only once in a blue moon you see a Lambo...and when it's around, it's cruising for everyone around to admire it's curves and looks...then it'll floor a little to show what it's really made of.

The Lamborghini Murcielago is, in no doubt, THE daddy of supercars.

ferrari 430... no contest :)

DB9 any day.

For me it'd have to be the Aston Martin. I don't know how the performance compares (I suspect it's probably the least quick of the bunch) but in terms of class and style it's the one that most appeals to me by a very big margin.

Difficult....

See, the Aston's are achingly gorgeous. Though I think "sex on wheels" is a little too far fetched Tom :)

The lambo's have the raw "grunt" factor.

The Fezza#s trade a little too much on heritage and a name. Having witnessed a F360 spider positively howling while doing 20mph, i couldn't live with it.

I don't see TVR or Noble....Ok, not 100K cars, but TVR do make some lovely eye-candy, with burbly engine notes, brutal power, tempermental build etc.......seems to fit the supercar bill.......

THe McLaren for me, the sound is fantastic. Sometimes stop for lunch in the laybys off j11 m25, as it is the main route down to the McLaren factory normally see upto 3 a week and the odd F1, now that is still the car for me.

The McLaren for me. The noise it makes, the looks, and the comforts too. I'd have any of them to be honest, but the SLR is the Daddy.

I don't know..... Why isn't The Beast included?

Looks like I'm not the only one who spotted this then...

My vote goes there incidentally - the Bugatti Veyron!

Edit: No Zonda either... what kind of poll is this?????? ;)
