I used to have the stream head unit fitted which had the aux input in the armrest...

I have since upgraded and now have the amudsen+ which is great.

My question is if I am wanting to have ipod connection will I need to just replace the box in the arm rest as hopefully the loom will be there for the aux module?!? Or will I need a brand new kit?!?

I don't know about the Amundsen but I upgraded to the Columbus and the arm rest input works fine BUT you have to enable it in settings.

 

Mine was under Media and Settings and you ticked to enable it.

 

Hopefully yours will be similar?

Did you need the vcd or just do it via the head unit

Just in the head unit in both the Bolero and Columbus.

well in that case i am probs gonna need the other bits then as theres not that on the menu :(

If you are just swapping the head units from a Stream (presumably MP as the standard one did;t have an Aux input) then the Aux should continue to work with the Amundsen+ as it is already wired into the car and the connectors on the Quadlock have not changed.

 

It may need enabling on the Amundsen+ as already stated, but VCDS will still be needed to fully enable the Sat Nav and vehicle communication channels.
