Locking wheel nutjob

Featured Replies

Had bit of a slow puncture on near side but can't get the wheel off because the locking wheel nut has gone awol. I put it in the pouch behind the drivers seat as it went awol 6 months ago when I got new tyres fitted. Recently had new shocks fitted and the garage says they might not have taken the wheels off to get the new shocks fitted. May be plausible but I think they've fecking lost it and not owning up to that fact.

I called Skoda yesterday and they would charge me £30 to take the 4 nuts off! FFS! Plus £22 for a new locking nut if I go back down that route.

Is there any other way of getting a replacement on the cheap?

When mine went AWOL, went to local Skoda dealer and they used there set of master keys to find out which one I needed and ordered me a new one about £10.50, this was a bout 4years ago though

Wow, well that would make life really really hard not to remove the wheels to change the shocks!
