Window stopped working

Featured Replies

Went to wind the window down to scan my work pass this morning, and the window must've been completely frozen - even after a 30 mins drive. All I got was a grinding ratchet noise.

So that's that broken then. Thankfully still within the warranty period.

I just hope the window doesn't drop down in the night: -4C forecast here.

Regulator knackered. Sounds like chewing cables.

You could put some cardboard in the window channels just to hold the window up if you're worried about it dropping. Definitely a warranty issue but I would not even mention opening it when frozen. Good luck with it.

Yup! They'd ordered in a motor and a regulator so that they were ready to fix whatever was wrong with it.
